Abstract:The stability in a high temperature of hydrophobically associating polyacrylamide in simulated Shengli brine was investigated by measuring its viscosity. The experiment results showed that the viscosity of polymer in solution decreased very fast, thiourea and micromolecule-alcohol can enhance the stability of polymer solution. Thiourea can keep polymer solution steady well as antioxygen. And micromolecule-alcohol can associate with polymer, which maintains the network structure of polymer. Thiourea and multi-hydroxyl compound with the certain proportion combines the virtue of these two substance, which increases the long-time stability of polymer solution to a great extent. And the proper proportion is 1∶5 and the proper addition is 100 mg/L.
