1，Foreign Contracted Projects
From January to October, China’s foreign contracted projects achieved a turnover of $13.01billion, an increase of 37.3% from the same time last year. The value of new contracts reached $18.66 billion, 53% higher than the same period last year.
By the end of October, 2004, China’s foreign contracted projects accumulatively realized a turnover of $ 109.57 billion, with a contracted volume of $151.11 billion.
2，Labor Service Cooperation
From January to October, labor service cooperation accomplished a turnover of $2.79 billion, an increase of 11% from the same period last year. The value of new contracts reached $2.68 billion, 18.5% higher than the same period of last year.
The number of people sent abroad for labor service reached 189,000, up 22.4% than that of last year. At the end of October, the total of people staying abroad for labor service reached 528,000, with an increase of 19,000 than the same period of last year.
By the end of October, 2004, China’s labor service cooperation accumulatively realized a turnover of $29.86 billion, with the contracted volume of $35.29 billion and the accumulative number of labor service personnel being 3,078,000.
