Announcement No.70, 2005 of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, Releasing the Determination on Anti-dumping Investigation of Imported Bisphenol A Originated from Japan, Russia, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan Region

In accordance with regulations of Anti-dumping Regulations of the People’s Republic of China, Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as “Ministry of Commerce”) released announcement No.19 on May 12, 2004, deciding to carry out anti-dumping investigation o n Bisphenol-A (hereinafter referred to as “investigated commodity”) originating from Japan, Russia, Singapore, Republic of Korea and Taiwan District, the tariff code of which was 40024910 in Import and Export Tariff of the People’s Republic of China, however Bisphenol-A salt under the same tariff code is excluded.
Ministry of Commerce carried out in investigation on dumping and dumping profit margin as well as injury and injury extent on investigated commodities. On May 12, Ministry of Commerce released announcement No.25, 2005, deciding to prolong the anti-dumping investigation to Nov 12, 2005.
On Sep 28, 2005, Blue Star Chemical Materials Co., Ltd., the applicant of the case, applied to Ministry of Commerce for withdrawing applications of anti-dumping investigation on Bisphenol-A. In accordance with Article 27 of Anti-dumping Regulations of the People’s Republic of China, Ministry of Com merce decides to terminate anti-dumping investigation on Bisphenol-A originating from Japan, Russia, Singapore, Republic of Korea and Taiwan District as from release of this announcement (please refer to appendix).
