On May 10, Ministry of Commerce issued the first batch of Export Commodity Technology Guide. Vice Minister Wei Jianguo points out that this move is an attempt to consummate export promotion system, also is important for implementing scientific concept of development, leading to the advanced technolo
gy competitiveness and surpassing foreign technological barriers.
He emphasizes that with the accelerating of world economy integration process, technological trade barriers, with standards, technology rules and eligibility assess process as the main contents, are adopted by more and more countries. This has become one of the major barriers that restrict China’s
foreign trade.
There are 10 items in this newly issued Export Commodity Technology Guide, namely Honey, Eel, Leather Product, Hosiery, Down-padded Anorak, Aluminum Profile Products, Air-condition, Electromotion Facility, Computer and Accessory and EU Commodity Package. All the above-mentioned items can be download
ed from http://www.mofcom.gov.cn/ for reference.
Henceforth, together with Agencies and Research Organizations, Ministry of Commerce will provide publicity, training, follow-up summary and instructive consultation for the enterprises, so that they could make good use of the Commodity Technology Guide.
