The International Conference on Surface and Colloid Science (ICSCS) is a prestigious international triennial meeting sponsored by the International Association of Colloid and Interface Scientists (IACIS), which has always attracted a large number of eminent surface and colloid scientists, and also younger researchers.
The 12th ICSCS in 2006 will be held at the Beijing International Conventional Center (BICC), a large modern complex, conveniently located between the City Center and the Airport. It has a large number of meeting rooms of various sizes, and will cater easily, therefore, for a multi-session scientific meeting; the largest will seat up to ~2000, and would be suitable for the plenary lectures. BICC also has many other functional rooms, plus a bank, shops, restaurants and coffee shops. It is directly joined to two high class, large international style hotels with many facilities and which would provide a suitable location for the conference banquet.
