The success of the 1st International Conference on Hypervalent Iodine, held in Halkidiki, near Thessaloniki, in 2000, has made it desirable that a 2nd Conference should follow. After consultation with some leading people working almost exclusively in this field, who have formed the scientific committee and will give plenary lectures, it was decided that the 2nd Conference takes place in Thessaloniki, in 1 and 2 June, 2006.
We have already secured the Conference Hall of the University of Thessaloniki, which is centrally located and easily reached on foot from most hotels.
