& Growth Expected
"The multi-billion dollar beauty market in the Middle East's Gulf countries is back on an upward trend, thanks to renewed economic growth as this rich region with avid consumers start spending again. Demand for cosmetics and personal care products is being driven by high disposable incomes, new sales channels and a growing lifestyle trend among both men and women in terms of plastic surgery, personal fitness and body care."

Emerging markets in the Middle East and India are witnessing strong growth in their home and personal care sector. The affluent middle class' appetites for personal care products continue to grow as they become more willing to spend on grooming and beauty products. Driven by economic growth, India's beauty and personal care showed double digit growth in 2010. Rural India accounts for 35-40% of consumption in personal care products and with increased awareness in hygiene, this will continue to drive demand in the market. This new trend will be covered at CMT's Surfactant HPC Dubai conference.
