SMi's 7th annual CBRNE conference will focus upon detection, response and threat of current CBRNE on a global scale. Whilst the hazardous materials remain the same, combating the threat that these materials pose requires a concerted approach to share information and solution developments.
Having just hosted the Olympics in London the UK has a strong foundation and experience of planning for the CBRNE threat, however as the Olympics passed without the need for deploying reactionary tactics or crisis management the aim still remains to make sure that every nation is as prepared as possible for every eventual outcome or threat.
Recently the main CBRNE developments have been in focussed on Japan, and North Korea to name a couple. Syria, with the potential for chemical weapons may pose a CBRNE threat post conflict. The CBRNE community must look back at previous disasters in order to plan effectively for any incidents in the future. |
